  • your name or chosen identifier;
  • email address;
  • the content of your message;
  • correction requests;
  • source suggestions;
  • candidate or employee experiences;
  • attachments;
  • consent or publication preferences; and
  • any other information you include voluntarily.

Do not send information that is unnecessary for the editorial request.

In particular, do not submit:

  • Social Security numbers;
  • passport or identity-document copies;
  • passwords;
  • complete medical records;
  • background-investigation forms;
  • security-clearance forms;
  • payment-card information;
  • protected live assessment questions;

  • classified information;
  • Sensitive Security Information;
  • confidential law-enforcement information;
  • active investigative material; or
  • personal information about another person without permission.

Reader Contributions

When you submit an experience, correction or other contribution, we may use the information to:

  • respond to you;
  • verify or research a statement;
  • correct or improve a page;
  • decide whether material is suitable for publication;
  • edit or paraphrase a contribution;
  • remove identifying details;
  • maintain a record of consent or editorial correspondence; and
  • protect the website, readers or third parties from unlawful or unsafe material.

We will not publish your email address merely because you contacted us. We may ask for separate confirmation before attributing a contribution by name.

Submitting material does not guarantee publication. The Share Your Experience page explains the content we cannot accept.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the website, hosting, security and analytics systems may automatically process technical information such as:

  • Internet Protocol address;
  • approximate location derived from network information;
  • browser and device type;
  • operating system;
  • referring page or campaign parameter;
  • pages requested;
  • date and time;
  • response status;
  • diagnostic and security events;
  • interaction or performance information; and
  • cookie or similar identifiers when enabled by the relevant service.

The exact fields and retention periods can depend on the hosting, security and analytics provider.

Hosting and Security

TSACareer.com is deployed through Cloudflare Pages infrastructure. Cloudflare and related network services may process request logs and security information to:

  • deliver website files;
  • route traffic;
  • detect malicious activity;
  • mitigate abuse;
  • diagnose errors; and
  • maintain network reliability.

Cloudflare acts under its own terms and privacy documentation for the services it provides.

Google Tag Manager and Analytics Technologies

The website currently loads Google Tag Manager using container ID GTM-TZ5V2LF.

Google Tag Manager is a tag-management system. The container can be used to load or manage analytics and measurement technologies. Depending on the active container configuration and your browser or consent choices, Google or another configured service may process information about visits and interactions.

The repository identifies the Tag Manager container but does not, by itself, establish every tag that may be configured in Google’s hosted interface. The active browser behavior and Google Tag Manager configuration control which measurement tags run at a given time.

Analytics information can be used to understand:

  • which pages are visited;
  • how readers arrive at the website;
  • broad device and browser patterns;
  • navigation and engagement trends;
  • technical errors; and
  • the effectiveness of editorial or promotional campaigns.

Google processes information under its own policies. Browser controls, consent tools where presented and Google’s opt-out mechanisms can affect collection.

Cookies and Similar Storage

The website and third-party services may use cookies, local storage or comparable technologies for purposes such as:

  • security;
  • tag management and analytics;
  • remembering a user interface preference;
  • campaign attribution;
  • service-worker operation;
  • performance; and
  • measuring interactions.

The website includes a colour-scheme feature that responds to your device preference. The current script applies the browser’s light or dark preference and does not create a reader account.

A service worker can cache selected website resources in the browser to improve loading and offline resilience. Cached files can remain until the browser removes them, the service worker is updated or you clear site data.

You can usually control cookies and site storage through browser settings. Blocking them can affect analytics, cached resources or other site functions.

The website can use Pagefind, a static local search system. Search indexes are generated with the site and searched in the browser. This differs from sending every search query to an external hosted search engine.

Hosting or analytics systems may still receive ordinary page-request and interaction information associated with use of the search page.

Some links to websites in the TestsCareers publishing network can be supplemented in the browser with UTM campaign parameters such as:

  • source domain;
  • page slug;
  • campaign label; and
  • destination-content identifier.

These parameters help the destination understand which site or page referred the visit. They do not intentionally include your name, email address or account information.

External merchants and websites may receive standard referral information and any parameters contained in the destination URL. Their privacy policies govern information collected after you leave TSACareer.com.

Some external links are affiliate links. A merchant or affiliate platform may use cookies, referral identifiers or other attribution methods to determine whether a purchase followed a link from the website.

TSACareer.com may receive reporting such as:

  • clicks;
  • referral identifiers;
  • attributed orders;
  • order values;
  • commissions;
  • reversals; and
  • aggregated conversion information.

We generally do not receive the merchant’s complete payment-card information. Purchases are completed on the third party’s website and are governed by its privacy and transaction terms.

How We Use Information

We may use information for legitimate website and business purposes, including to:

  • operate and secure the website;
  • respond to requests;
  • research corrections;
  • manage reader submissions;
  • improve content and navigation;
  • measure traffic and referral performance;
  • maintain affiliate records;
  • detect fraud or abuse;
  • establish, exercise or defend legal rights;
  • comply with legal obligations; and
  • manage a business transfer or reorganisation.

Where applicable law requires consent for a particular cookie or processing activity, the relevant consent requirement applies.

When Information May Be Shared

Information can be shared with:

  • hosting, network and security providers;
  • analytics and tag-management providers;
  • email and communication providers;
  • professional advisers;
  • contractors who need access for website operation or editorial work;
  • affiliate merchants or platforms through referral technology;
  • authorities when disclosure is legally required; and
  • a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or transfer of the website business.

We do not sell email correspondence or reader submissions as a standalone data product.

Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including:

  • responding to a message;
  • documenting editorial consent;
  • maintaining correction history;
  • complying with tax, accounting or legal duties;
  • resolving disputes;
  • enforcing agreements; and
  • protecting the website.

Technical logs, analytics information and affiliate records follow the retention settings and legal obligations applicable to the relevant provider or account.

You may ask us to delete a reader submission or correspondence. We will assess the request against legal, security, editorial-record and legitimate-interest requirements.

International Processing

Website infrastructure and service providers can process information in countries other than the one where you live. Data-protection laws can differ across jurisdictions.

Where required, providers or the operator may use contractual or other lawful safeguards for international transfers.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • request access to personal information;
  • request correction;
  • request deletion;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing depends on consent;
  • request portability where applicable; and
  • complain to a competent data-protection authority.

These rights are not absolute. Verification and legal exceptions can apply.

To submit a request, email info@tsacareer.com and identify the website and the information concerned. Do not send unnecessary identity documents. We may request proportionate information to verify the request.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Signals

Browser privacy signals and legal requirements continue to evolve. The website may not respond uniformly to every “Do Not Track” signal.

Where a legally recognised opt-out or consent signal applies to a configured service, that service and the operator’s applicable obligations govern the response.

Children

TSACareer.com is directed toward job candidates and career researchers, not children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children under 13.

A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal information can contact info@tsacareer.com.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the website. No transmission, hosting platform or storage method is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Do not email highly sensitive government, medical, financial or identity records.

External Websites

This policy applies to TSACareer.com. It does not govern government agencies, employers, merchants, social networks or other linked sites.

Review the privacy notice of each external service before submitting information or making a purchase.

Policy Changes

We may update this policy when the website, providers or legal requirements change. The revised version becomes effective when posted, unless the notice states otherwise.

The date at the top shows the latest policy revision.
